The vibrant red colour that gave Aka Kirishima its name is from a reaction between the purple Murasaki-Masari sweet potatoes (which is rich in polyphenols) and the citric acid. This shochu is unique for its lingering sweetness and refined aroma. Aka Kirishima is best enjoyed on the rocks or straight. Alcohol content, ABV (25% alcohol).
